Annex XVII RESTRICTIONS ON THE MANUFACTURE, PLACING ON THE MARKET AND USE OF CERTAIN DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES, MIXTURES AND ARTICLES, Modified

+4,163 −3,415 characters · Applies from: no date changed

Explanation, written by a model and checked against the cited text

In entry 6 on asbestos fibres, the prohibition on manufacture, placing on the market and use is extended to cover mixtures containing these fibres added intentionally, in addition to articles containing them.

In entries 16 and 17 on lead carbonates and lead sulphates, the derogation wording is changed so that the reference to sulphates of lead in the ILO Convention 13 citation is dropped, the derogation is stated to cover the placing on the market for the restoration and maintenance use as well as the use itself, and a new requirement is added that a Member State using the derogation inform the Commission of it.

In the shared provision applying to entries 28 to 30, the reference to the concentration specified in Directive 1999/45/EC is qualified with the added phrase limiting it to cases where no specific concentration limit is set out in Part 3 of Annex VI to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008; the remaining visible text is unchanged and the provided excerpt is truncated before further differences, if any, can be seen.
