Point 7 shall not apply to: (a) SLI batteries used in 12 V applications for vehicles, including special purpose vehicles, of the categories M1 and N1 as defined in Regulation (EU) 2018/858 ; (b) SLI batteries used in 24 V applications in special purpose vehicles of the categories M1 and N1 as defined in Regulation (EU) 2018/858 ; (c) SLI batteries used in other applications than those covered by points (a) and (b) of this point in vehicles, including special purpose vehicles, of the categories M1 and N1 as defined in Regulation (EU) 2018/858 that are type approved before 1 January 2024. 4. Hexavalent chromium CAS No 18540-29-9EC No 606-053-1 and its compounds Batteries incorporated in vehicles, including special purpose vehicles, of the categories M1 and N1 as defined in Regulation (EU) 2018/858, shall not contain more than 0,1 % of hexavalent chromium, expressed as hexavalent chromium metal, by weight in homogeneous material.
