A source lists it, but there is no text to show — the EU's own amendment metadata found this change; the text comparison finds no difference in the provision's text and the amending act's instructions do not mention it. Only the EU's own amendment metadata names it, and it carries no text. All are shown; none is overruled.
No explanation shipped — the text comparison did not see this change, so it carries no text; another source named the provision, and it is listed where sources differ.
Text from EUR-Lex: none to show
No text on either side: this unit was named by a signal that carries no text, and only the structural diff carries any.
Amended by Regulation (EU) 2021/2117 32021R2117 on EUR-Lex (external, EUR-Lex)
Applies from: no date changed
Explanation, written by a model and checked against the cited text
The provision now lists three separate circumstances, labelled (a) to (c), in which the Commission may adopt implementing acts cancelling protection, replacing the single ground of no longer ensured compliance with the product specification.
The former single reason is retained as point (a), now phrased as compliance no longer being guaranteed, and two new grounds are added: no product having been placed on the market under the name for at least seven consecutive years, and an applicant meeting the Article 95 conditions declaring it no longer wishes to maintain the protection.
The phrase describing who may request cancellation is reworded from a duly substantiated request by a party to a duly substantiated request of a party, without altering the list of who may make that request.
