A new Article 88b has been added, stating that for the purposes of the Title, the terms investment firm and institution are to be understood as also covering undertakings established in third countries that would fall under those definitions if they were established in the Union.

Undertakings in third countries
For the purposes of this Title, the terms investment firm and institution shall be understood to include undertakings established in third countries, which would, if established in the Union, fall under the definitions of those terms in this Regulation.
